The Rising Cost of Living - The Growing Cost of Life in Perth

This is the first in a series of ten articles commissioned by the Committee for Perth that aims to inform the conversation around the rising costs of living that we are experiencing in Perth and other Australian cities.

Ten years ago, no Australian cities rated in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s top 50 most expensive cities in the world. Two years ago Sydney and Melbourne first appeared in the top 10. In 2013, Australia has reached its highest rating ever with five Australian cities in the top 20.
