The Rising Cost of Living - Soaring rents fuel houshold stress

This is the fourth in a series of ten articles commissioned by the Committee for Perth that aims to inform the conversation around the rising costs of living that we are experiencing in Perth and other Australian cities.

There are few conversation starters like the cost of housing in Perth, but in recent years talk has shifted from the high cost of purchasing a home, to the extreme cost of renting one. And the dialogue is no longer just local - Perth is starting to become known, nationally and abroad, as a very costly place to call home.
