Shopping for life’s essentials during COVID-19 has been challenging and as a result, many of us have changed our shopping habits and in the process strengthened our relationship with online retailers. Damian Stone, Principal and Chief Problem Solver at Y Research will share his new research on the impact COVID-19 has had on Perth’s retail centres, both high streets and centres. Damian will be joined by Richard Kilbane, General Manager of Office Buildings to share insights into the impact of COVID-19 on Hawaiian’s property portfolio and how it is responding to the crisis.

Damian Stone
Chief Problem Solver, Y Research
Damian Stone is the Principal of Y Research - an independent West Australian property information and research firm.
Since its inception in 2010, Y Research has developed unique databases on Perth’s office, retail, apartment, tourism, industrial and medical property markets through on the ground property inspections.
At Y Research, Damian produces a series of regular reports on the above markets, provides consultancy and advisory services to a range of clients and is a featured industry commentator in the press. He is currently the host of Office Hours – the property podcast of media company, Business News.
Richard Kilbane
General Manager, Office Buildings, Hawaiian
Richard Kilbane joined Hawaiian in 2005 and has worked in a number roles with his current position being General Manager,
Office Buildings.
Richard has been involved in the management of infrastructure and building projects, together with their asset management
for more than 20 years. During this time, he has been responsible for development and operation of notable Perth assets such
as Claremont Quarter, Parmelia Hilton and Bishops See.
Richard is currently the Vice President of the Property Council of Australia (WA).
Richard holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and in 2014 completed the General Management Programme at Harvard.
