Infrastructure WA's State Infrastructure Strategy

At our next Chairman's 20 event, Committee for Perth's members will hear from John Langoulant AO, Chair of Infrastructure WA (IWA) who will provide a briefing following the launch of the IWA’s Draft State Infrastructure Strategy.

The purpose of the strategy is to outline the State's significant infrastructure needs and priorities for the next 20 years.

At this round table luncheon, John will share the Infrastructure WA vision for the strategy and discuss opportunities and challenges as outlined in recommendations.

Chair of Infrastructure WA

John currently holds non-executive director positions across a diverse portfolio of public, private and not for profit businesses. These roles are predominantly in Western Australia but also in the Northern Territory and at the national level.

In his executive years, John held the position of Western Australian Under Treasurer, Chief Executive of Australian Capital Equity, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia and the Oakajee Port and Rail project.

In 2018 John led a Special Inquiry into the Western Australian Government’s Programs and Projects across the period 2008-2017. In 2007 he chaired the Major Stadia Taskforce which gave rise to the development of Optus Stadium and he has undertaken other inquiries for the Western Australian and Northern Territory Governments.

John was recognised as an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2010 for distinguished service to business and commerce, particularly through his leadership and management roles and to the community of Western Australia. In 2011 he was recognised in the Citizen WA Awards for his services to business.
