New Horizons

In 2018 the State Government created the Aboriginal Procurement Policy which sets targets for the number of government contracts awarded to registered Aboriginal businesses in order to develop entrepreneurship and business opportunities for the Aboriginal community.

Following the 2019-20 Financial Year the results showed that the 2% target was surpassed when 5.5% of government contracts were awarded to the value of $172 million.

Join Kate Ingham, Deputy Director General, Advisory Services of Department of Finance to discuss the policy and how the Government is creating its success.
