Perth is currently rated as one of the world’s most liveable cities by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

During 2011-12, we undertook an examination of the top 10 cities according to the EIU’s World’s Liveable Cities Index. The aim was to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each of the cities and investigate the key issues, governance, policy and strategic approaches that have contributed to the cities’ achievements, in order to understand what Perth can learn from these cities as the region grows and develops.

The project was presented as a series of articles that were published between June 2011 and April 2012 and subsequently as a Compilation Report. At the time of publication, data used was correct however some of the data has subsequently changed with the issuing of new rankings by the EIU.
