Perth Perceptions Survey 2015
The Perth Perceptions Survey was conducted by Ipsos for the Committee. It provides an understanding of what Perth residents think is important for the region, both now and in the future.
In order to understand the community’s perceptions of Perth, an online survey was undertaken from 6 May to 28 May 2015 with Perth residents aged 16+ years. The sample was sourced from an
accredited online panel and Committee for Perth’s member database. A total of n=520 responses were collected.
Key Findings
- Compared to 2012, residents are even more satisfied with living in Perth and are significantly more likely to recommend our city as a place to live.
- This increase in likelihood to recommend has been driven by a significant decrease in detractors.
- Life in Perth continues to be shaped by our great weather and laidback, outdoor, family friendly lifestyle.
- However, we continue to be let down by our public transport system and have gone backwards in terms of being an environmentally friendly city.
- Similarly, residents still feel life in Perth is too expensive and increasingly feel we have failed to diversify our economy.
