Celebrating 15 Years in Operation
The Committee for Perth has reached an important milestone this year as we celebrate our 15th Anniversary.
The celebrations began last week at the Annual Chairman's Lunch where we shared with members the results of the 2021 Perth Perception Survey, the fourth in the series.
Since its inception, the Committee has achieved much, including:
- Signing the first FACTBase agreement in 2008 which has seen us release 75 FACTBase Bulletins with the 76th Bulletin to be released later this month, as well as nine FACTBase Special Reports
- We have completed six Major Projects resulting in landmark reports including:
- Cultural Compact and World Centre for Indigenous Culture in 2008 and 2009
- Towards a Bright Future in 2012
- Filling the Pool in 2015
- Get a Move On! in 2016
- Bigger & Better Beyond the Boom in 2017
- Hashtag Perth in 2020
- We are now undertaking our seventh Major Research Project Future of Work, the final report will be launched in September
- We have also undertaken the What We Thought Would Kill Us, Cost of Living and Liveable Cities series, not to mention the sub-regional project Future Freo
All of these have helped to influence the policies of government and business and thereby helped to shape the future of Greater Perth.
We would like to thank all our members for their enduring commitment as well as their financial and intellectual support, which is what contributes to the Committee being WA’s leading independent think-tank.
