From the CEO - February 2022

Only one month into 2022, and our event and activities calendar looks already very busy. As we continue to plan, our events program will be dynamic to ensure we remain adaptable as the year unfolds. Our members will certainly have many opportunities to network, engage and contribute to Greater Perth’s future this year.

This month, we will be holding a series of Strategic Direction Workshops. These sessions will be instrumental in shaping the Committee’s future direction as we seek members’ feedback into the development of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan and I look forward to receiving your input.

We will be also kicking off our popular Executive Women’s Leadership Forum series where attendees will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Katherine Iscoe who will be discussing her career and life journey with an emphasis on compassionate leadership.

Our online events calendar includes the release of our first two FACTBase Bulletins for 2022, exclusively to our members, the day prior to their public release.

FACTBase Bulletin 78 explores the growing demand for workers for specific occupations and skill levels in Western Australia and Greater Perth; while FACTBase Bulletin 79 identifies potential industry and occupation growth in Western Australia and Greater Perth to meet future demands.

We also have two New Horizons webinars coming up this month where attendees will hear from Malcolm Smith, Australasian Cities leader at Arup about The Fifteen Minute Vision concept, and Peter Colacino and Jonathan Cartledge from Infrastructure Australia who will provide a briefing on the Infrastructure Market Capacity report.

A reminder that our online events are open to all employees of our member organisations; therefore I encourage you to extend the invite to your colleagues.
